The majority of hotel guests prefer free in-room Wi-Fi to complimentary breakfast, a new study has revealed.

Online booking site Agoda.com asked 5,000 of its customers which of the two amenities they would prefer hotels to include their rate. And 55% of respondents replied that they would prefer in-room Wi-Fi, rather than free breakfast (45%).

“We know both are important to our customers,” said John Brown, Agoda.com’s chief operating officer. “Most hoteliers understand that too, and the majority of the properties on Agoda.com offer room rates inclusive of Wi-Fi, breakfast or both.”

The survey also asked whether guests would prefer larger beds or bigger bathrooms, and 75% opted for larger beds.
