Tune Hotels has expanded its portfolio of budget accommodation with the opening of two new properties in Jakarta and Manila.
Last month, the company opened the 168-room Tune Hotel Pasar Baru, which became its first hotel in Jakarta, and the 213-room Tune Hotel Makati, its second property in Manila. These hotels, as with all Tunes, operate on a ‘pay-as-you-use’ concept with additional fees for services such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, bathroom towels and TV.
“Our further expansion into Jakarta and Manila, two of the busiest capitals in, reflects the high demand for quality branded affordable accommodation among business and leisure travellers,” said Mark Lankester, Tune Hotels’ Group CEO. “Asia has seen a continued growth of air travel, primarily due to an increase in demand for low-cost travel options. This trend will continue to grow and this is where hospitality providers would have to be more innovative in their offerings of products and services.”
Tune Hotels currently has 11 hotels in Malaysia, four in the Philippines, four in the UK, three in Indonesia and two in Thailand. Later this year Tune will launch in Bangkok, while future properties are being planned in India, Australia and the Middle East.
