Carnival Cruise Lines has announced that it has launched a virtual tour of Carnival Sunshine – its most recently renovated vessel.
The ship – which underwent a huge US$155 million refurbishment – has been fitted with new bars, dining options and entertainment venues – the outdoor spaces have also been worked on.
The Sunshine – formally the Carnival Destiny – will emerge from a 49-day dry dock in the spring before completing a series of European cruises from 12 April 2013. After which it will be moved across the Atlantic to New Orleans for a season of Caribbean itineraries beginning 18 November 2013.
Carnival has launched a virtual tour of the ship, which is available at www.carnival.com/sunshine, where the firm will also hold competitions where entrants can win European cruises as well as ‘keepsakes’ from Carnival Destiny – the world’s first cruise ship to be weigh over 100,000GT.
“The virtual tour is a fantastic way to showcase all of the innovations of Carnival Sunshine while the contest provides our fans with a chance to be among the first to sail on this spectacular vessel and even take home a piece of history from Carnival Destiny,” said Jim Berra, Carnival’s chief marketing officer.
