Vistara, the new Indian airline, has formed a new partnership with Singapore Airlines‘ frequent flyer programme.
The arrangement will enable KrisFlyer members to earn miles when travelling on Vistara flights, and redeem Vistara flight tickets with their miles. Likewise, members of the Indian carrier’s FFP, Club Vistara, will be able to earn and redeem miles on SIA and SilkAir flights.
The mile earning partnership will commence in March 2015, with redemption to follow in May.
“We are delighted to strengthen our cooperation with our airline partner Vistara, and to provide KrisFlyer and Club Vistara members with more ways to earn and redeem,” said SIA’s senior vice president of marketing planning, Lee Wen Fen.
“It has been an exciting start to the new year for KrisFlyer as we continue to expand our choice of airline and non-airline rewards for our members.”
The addition of Vistara to the KrisFlyer scheme comes just days after a similar arrangement was announced with two of SIA’s other partner airlines, Scoot and Tigerair.
A joint venture between SIA and India’s Tata Sons, Vistara started flying from Delhi on 9 January 2015.
