The Aegean Experience & Cairo cruise from Voyages to Antiquity reveals Greek and Egyptian civilisations.

Aegean Odyssey

The 13-day tour combines new shore excursion programme from Cairo with an itinerary that includes six nights in premium hotels.

Programme highlights include the iconic ancient sites (Athens, Delphi, Knossos and the Pyramids of Giza) along with the Crusader fortresses of Rhodes to the catacombs of Alexandria. There is also a memorable dinner cruise on the River Nile.

Guests will be accompanied by expert speakers; archaeologist Dr David Price-Williams, who knows the local sites well, and broadcaster Ernest Rea, who specialises in the history of religions.

The 13-day cruise circuit costs from £2,800 per person and departs Athens on 18 October, returning to Piraeus – just 7.5 miles from the Greek capital – on 30 October 2018. Along the way the MV Aegean Odyssey will call at Delphi, Nauplia and Piraeus (on the Greek mainland) and Heraklion in Crete before reaching Alexandria and Cairo (Egypt) and returning to Piraeus via Rhodes. Price includes flights, transfers, all meals onboard and drinks with dinner, shore excursions, onboard guest speakers and onboard gratuities.
