Wanda unveils major Yunnan resort complex

Wanda Hotels & Resorts has opened a huge new tourism complex in southwest China’s Yunnan province.
The new Wanda International Resort Complex in Xishuangbanna officially launched on 26 September, covering 5.3km² of land in the sub-tropical region, which lies close to the borders with Laos and Myanmar.
The complex includes three hotels, including the Wanda Vista, DoubleTree by Hilton and Holiday Inn, plus a theme park, a “rainforest recreation and adventure park”, a shopping area, hospital and a theatre that will show performances based on the region’s ethnic groups.
The company’s own hotel, Wanda Vista Xishuangbanna Resort, comprises 26 buildings spread across 160,000m² of land, with 151 rooms and suites, restaurants, bars, a spa, fitness centre, swimming pool, children’s playground and even a Buddhist temple. There is also a 4,000m² conference centre. Every room offers at least 137m² of space and features its own private pool.
The 412-room DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Xishuangbanna and 415-room Holiday Inn Resort Xishuangbanna take the complex’s total inventory to 978 rooms and suites.

Wanda International Resort Complex is located 15 minutes’ drive from Xishuangbanna’s Gasa Airport, which is served by carriers including China Eastern Airlines, China Southern and Spring Airlines.
