A pair of new air routes will soon start connecting Los Angeles with the two largest cities in Western China.
Hainan Airlines is planning to launch new trans-Pacific services from Chengdu and Chongqing to LAX next month, with services due to commence on 15 and 21 March 2017 respectively.
Both routes will be operated twice a week using Hainan Airlines’ Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
China Eastern Airlines and Sichuan Airlines both currently fly between Chengdu and LA, but Hainan Airlines will become the first carrier flying direct between Chongqing and LA.
