Aurigny Air Services, Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines have been named as the ‘best’ airlines in the latest Which? survey.
All three airlines scored a 87% for service in the survey of 12,000 members, which is based on several factors including boarding process, legroom, punctuality, quality of food and drink and luggage allowances.
SWISS, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Turkish Airlines were also in the top four airlines for short-haul travel.
Ryanair received a 32% rating but has recently announced changes to improve its service.
In the long-haul table Iberia was at the bottom with a customer score of 28%, followed by Thomas Cook Airlines with 37%.
However, Which? found that many passengers faced different experiences depending which destination they were flying to and the aircraft used.
“Our survey reveals the massive variation in the standard of airlines,” said Richard Lloyd, executive director of Which?.
