AccorHotels has revealed that the world’s largest Mercure will open its doors next month.

Located on Dubai’s main Sheikh Zayed Road, Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights Hotel Suites & Apartments is currently undergoing a major refurbishment that will continue until the end of 2018.

This will include the addition of more rooms, and by the time the project is complete, the 1,015-room hotel will be the largest Mercure property in AccorHotels’ global portfolio.

“We are delighted to enter into another high-profile agreement… to further elevate the Mercure brand within the United Arab Emirates with the largest Mercure hotel in our global network,” said Olivier Granet, AccorHotels’ managing director & chief operating officer for the Middle East & Africa.

Accommodation at the upscale hotel will include a mix of rooms, suites and apartments with one or two bedrooms. The property will also feature four restaurants, including one with a shisha lounge, a lounge, spa, swimming pool, and 400m² of meeting space.

Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights Hotel Suites & Apartments joins the brand’s portfolio of 23 properties currently in operation and under development in the Middle East.
