World’s first airport IMAX to open in Hong Kong
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) will soon become the first airport in the world to house an IMAX cinema.
Developed by UA Cinemas, the ‘UA IMAX Theatre @ Airport’ will be located in the entertainment zone in the airport’s Terminal 2.
Seating 358 guests, the cinema will feature the largest IMAX screen in Hong Kong, showing both 2D and 3D movies.
In addition to the IMAX Theatre, T2’s entertainment zone will offer 20 dining outlets and more than 80 shops.
The cinema is expected to open in the second quarter of 2012.
