Wyndham Hotel Group continues growth in EMEA

Wyndham Hotel Group has continued to expand its footprint across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Eurasia (EMEA) with a number of  openings throughout 2017, bringing the total number of hotels across the region to more than 470.

This includes the company’s first hotels in Kuwait and Bangladesh, as well as new brand launches in Bahrain, Greece, France and Israel, and continued growth in Turkey and Russia.

In addition, the creation of Trademark Collection, the soft-branded collection of upper-midscale and above hotels was launched with 50 hotels across Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Key openings throughout 2017 in EMEA included: 

Wyndham Grand Manama

Wyndham Garden Manama (Bahrain) is the largest Wyndham Garden hotel in the world with more than 440 rooms.

Wyndham Grand Manama (Bahrain) opened in Bahrain Bay’s iconic United Tower, a 50-storey landmark which features a twisting shape and 360-degree views of the Kingdom.

Days Hotel Dhaka (Bangladesh) is Wyndham Hotel Group’s first hotel in the country. Bangladesh is home to many important religious and archaeological sites, as well as a growing destination for medical tourism from South East Asia.
Days Inn Nice (France) is the first hotel under the Days Inn brand in France, and has a prime location along the Cote d’ Azur.

Super 8 Freiburg (Germany) located near the city centre and the University of Freiburg, marked the continued expansion of the Super 8 brand in Germany.
The co-located Wyndham Loutraki Poseidon Resort and Ramada Loutraki Poseidon Resort (Greece) opened as part of an extended agreement with Zeus International to develop 20 hotels in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania over the next 10 years.

Howard Johnson Kolkata and Ramada Darjeeling (India) strengthened Wyndham Hotel Group’s presence in the eastern region of the country.
Ramada Plaza Chennai (India) is located city centre in one of India’s most important business and technology hubs.

TRYP by Wyndham Jerusalem Bat Sheva (Israel) is located in the city centre, a short walk away from famous historical, cultural and religious sites. It is also the first hotel under the TRYP by Wyndham brand in the country.

Wyndham Garden Astana (Kazakhstan) is the first hotel under the Wyndham Garden brand in Eurasia, further expanding Wyndham Hotel Group’s brand portfolio in the region.

Ramada Encore Kuwait Downtown (Kuwait) is a contemporary hotel located in the Sharq district, Kuwait City’s financial and business hub, and marks Wyndham Hotel Group’s entry to this important Middle Eastern market.

TRYP by Wyndham Dubai

TRYP by Wyndham Dubai (United Arab Emirates) has 650 rooms, making it the largest TRYP by Wyndham hotel in the world, and bringing affordable and modern accommodation to the Barsha Heights neighbourhood.
