Xiamen Airlines will fly to Indonesia for the first time in September, with the launch of daily services to Jakarta.
From 12 September 2013, the Chinese airline will commence the flights from Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province, to Jakarta, via Fuzhou in Fujian province. Services will operate four times per week, every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
Then two days later on 14 September, Xiamen Airlines will launch another Zhengzhou-Jakarta service, this time operating via Xiamen – another city in the southeast province of Fujian. This route will be served on the remaining three days of the week – Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
And to offer its passengers a greater range of options in Indonesia, Xiamen Airlines has also signed new codehsare agreement with Garuda.
From 1 August, Xiamen Airlines will place its ‘MF’ code on the Indonesian national carrier’s three daily flights between Jakarta and Singapore.
This follows a similar codeshare the carrier launched with Malaysia Airlines earlier this month, which will enable it to sell MAS’ Kuala Lumpur-Xiamen flights.
Xiamen Airlines is a member of the SkyTeam Alliance.
