“Vietnam provides continued promise for Accor. Accor has operated in the Vietnam for 21 years and have developed a sound portfolio of hotels. With healthy growth prospects, we will see the network expand to just short of 30 hotels by 2015,” said Gaurav Bhushan, Accor’s Chief Development & Investment Officer.

Accor’s first ibis hotel in the country, ibis Saigon South, offers 160 rooms all equipped with flat screen televisions and Wi-Fi internet access, while facilities include a restaurant and bar. The company’s ibis portfolio will be expanded further in the third quarter of 2015 with the opening of the 338-room ibis Saigon Grand Palace.

“ibis is the world’s leading economy hotel brand and is well-known for its excellent services at competitive prices. With ibis Saigon South, we now have 13 hotels in the network and a comprehensive hotel selection for international and domestic guests to choose from,” commented Patrick Basset, Vice President for Accor Vietnam, the Philippines, South Korea & Japan.

The two other new hotels announced yesterday were the upscale 186-room Pullman Danang Beach Resort and the 90-room Ba Na Hills, located in the Truong Son Mountains, which joins Accor’s MGallery Collection.

Accor’s pipeline of 16 hotels will add another 4,047 rooms to its Vietnam inventory, including more than 1,100 rooms across four Pullman hotels, more than 1,500 rooms in six Novotels and close to 900 rooms across four Mercure properties.
