Archipelago International has launched its Hotel NEO brand in Semarang, Central Java.
The new boutique budget hotel becomes the third Hotel NEO in Indonesia, following recently-opened properties in Jakarta and Bali. Located on Jalan Pemuda, in the centre of the city, the new Hotel NEO Candi Semarang features 105 rooms, all with free Wi-Fi, LCD TVs, home entertainment systems, tea and coffee making facilities and writing desks with universal electrical outlets.
Other hotel facilities include a ‘Noodles Now’ restaurant, mini market and retail outlets, plus meeting rooms.
“The NEO Candi Semarang… is not intended to be a hotel for everyone, as it looks and feels very different from your typical local Central Java hotel,” said Norbert Vas, Archipelago’s vice president of sales & marketing. “Instead [it] focuses on a new breed of traveller who is sophisticated, technology-savvy, lives a healthy and successful life and enjoys the unexpected and an occasional surprise.”
Following the launch of the first three NEOs, Archipelago now plans to expand the brand to key destinations across Indonesia, including Bandung, Yogyakarta, Makassar, Solo and Samarinda, and multiple new hotels in Jakarta and Bali.
