Archipelago International has outlined plans to open 70 more properties in the next 18 months.
The rapidly-expanding company has launched 11 new hotels already this year, including its new flagship in Jakarta, the Grove Suites by Grand Aston.
Now, Archipelago International intends to add a further 33 hotels with a total of 5,102 rooms by the end of this year, and 37 hotels with 5,700 rooms in 2015. In total, this will boost the company’s total portfolio to 150 properties with an inventory of more than 22,000 rooms by the end of next year.

“Not only do the planned projects illustrate Archipelago International’s continued success story, it is also provides testimony to Indonesia’s accomplishments despite being a relatively young nation, proving its incredible potential as a leading international and domestic tourism destination.

Amongst the 70 new hotel projects, there will be four new Hotel NEOs and two more favehotels in Bali, four large-scale resorts with conference centres opening in Bogor under the Aston, Alana, Quest and Harper brands, and a new upscale Alana hotel and conference centre in Yogyakarta. There will also be six new hotels in Lombok.
Archipelago International currently operates a portfolio of more than 80 hotels in Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia.
