THOMAS HAGEMANN has been appointed to the newly-created position of vice president of future openings & special projects with the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. He will now be responsible for managing the group’s expansion in Asia Pacific. Previously, Hagemann served as district director for five hotels in Sochi.
PATRICK DE CASTELBAJAC has been announced as the new chief executive officer of regional planemaker, ATR. De Catselbajac joined Airbus in 2002 and by 2010 he had risen to the position of head of contracts negotiations for commercial aircraft. He succeeds Filippo Bagnato, who had headed up ATR for four years.
CHRISTOPHE LAURAS has been appointed as Accor’s vice president of operations for East & Central China. Promoted from his former role of area general manager of Sofitel in Southern China, Lauras will now oversee all Accor hotels in the region. He has 25 years’ experience including spells in Indonesia and India.
DAVID ECIJA has become the new general manager of the Hilton Sukhumvit and DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit hotels. Ecjia has worked for Hilton for 14 years, including spells as GM of the Waldorf Astoria Sevilla and Hilton Madrid Airport. Most recently he was GM of the Hilton Vilamoura in Portugal.
BENJAMIN ZAHN has been announced as the new hotel manager of Le Royal Méridien Shanghai. A German national, Zahn brings 15 years’ experience to the role, including positions in Germany, China and Dubai. He joins the hotel from the Westin Kuala Lumpur, where he also held the position of hotel manager.
PATRICIA SILVIO has been named global marketing manager for Pacific World. The move marks a promotion for Ms Silvio, who has served as the company’s regional marketing manager for the EMEA region since the end of 2011. Prior to that, she worked in the MICE and marketing sectors for eight years.
