After an extensive integration process following the merger of LAN and TAM, South American airline giant LATAM Airlines Group has announced the adoption of the name LATAM.

LATAM.
LATAM.

This name will be used for all companies in the group, including LAN Airlines and its affiliates in Peru, Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador; TAM Linhas Aereas SA, TAM Transportes Aereos Del Mercosur SA (TAM Airlines (Paraguay); and cargo airlines of LATAM Group integrated by LAN CARGO LAN CARGO Colombia, ABSA (TAM Cargo) and Mas Air.

“The brand LATAM is the most natural result of the union of LAN and TAM brands. We knew that having a single brand was essential to solidify this partnership and in this sense “LATAM” has strength in uniting and consolidating the two identities as Latin America’s largest airline. The new brand retains the best elements of two identities and their legacies whilst encompassing the unique Latin American essence of each, “said Mauricio Amaro, chairman of LATAM Airlines Group.

Changes to LATAM Airlines Group’s corporate image are already underway and this process will take approximately three years, the company said.

LAN and TAM’s frequent flyer programmes and the related companies will continue to implement improvements to its existing programmes. Any changes to these programmes will be communicated in due course.
