In a first for Heathrow, the airport operator has announced a collaboration with New York City’s official destination marketing organisation, NYC & Company and Virgin Holidays to encourage customers to visit New York.
New York City has long been the most popular destination for Heathrow and with more than 50 flights to the Big Apple every day, visiting the city that never sleeps has never been easier. The campaign runs until 24 January promoting travel during the months of January and February.
The digital campaign will be activated across social media as well as displayed on in-terminal digital media screens and will highlight value-led flights and hotel packages across the City. New York’s hidden gems will be celebrated throughout the campaign, with British visitors being inspired to explore some of the city’s lesser known attractions such as the Brooklyn Lager Brewery, Katz Deli, The High Line and Lincoln Centre.
More than 2 million passengers currently fly to New York City every year from Heathrow, connecting to JFK and Newark airports.
