Lufthansa appoints new CFO

Ulrik Svensson has been appointed to the executive board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG to serve as the company’s chief financial officer. He will assume his new duties on 1 January 2017, having signed a three-year contract.
Svensson succeeds Simone Menne, who will leave the company on 31 August.
For the interim period between Menne’s departure and Svensson’s assumption of his new duties, Carsten Spohr, chairman of the Executive Board & CEO of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, will head the company’s Finance division in addition to his CEO duties.
