Accor has been named the official hotel partner for Indonesia at next month’s ITB travel trade show in Berlin.

Indonesia itself will be the Official Partner Country of this year’s ITB, which takes place from 6-10 March 2013, and Accor will join forces with the country to promote its 60 hotels across the Indonesian archipelago.

“As the largest international hotel operator in the country, Accor is proud to have been chosen by the Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy to support Indonesia as Official Partner Country at this year’s ITB Berlin expo,” said Gerard Guillouet, senior vice president for Accor – Malaysia, Indonesia & Singapore. “We have a two decades strong presence in Indonesia and a long-standing commitment to supporting the country’s growth as a world-class tourism destination.”

As part of the Indonesian theme for ITB, guests at the opening dinner will be welcomed by traditional dancers from Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan and Bali, while Indonesian chefs will prepare the country’s national dishes. Accor and Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy will also hold a joint press conference during the event.

More than 90 Indonesian tourism businesses will be represented at the event, including tour operators, airlines and hoteliers.
