Hotel Group Archipelago International is to open its sixth favehotel in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta in the Gatot Subroto area near Maga Kuningan.

The new property, favehotel Gatot Subroto, will have its soft launch on 6 September, bringing 150 budget accommodation rooms to the city.

Archipelago International’s vice president of sales & marketing, Norbert Vas, said: “We are thrilled to be at the heart of Jakarta delivering a great new hotel that is a true alternative to the many expensive offerings in the area. The favehotel group won this year’s Indonesian Best Economy Hotel Chain Award and we expect that the favehotel Gatot Subroto will measure up to this reputation, matching this success and emerging as a favourite amongst savvy travellers.”

In August we reported that favehotels had announced the development of four hotels in Indonesia including properties in Bali, Bandung and Makassar.
