British Airways has confirmed it will commence direct flights to Kalamata in the Greek region of Messinia in southwest Peloponnese from Heathrow on 30 April.
The flights will have total capacity of 168 people per flight and will fly twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays. The move follows nearby Costa Navarino’s hosting of this year’s ABTA Travel Convention.
Stephanos Theodorides, vice chairman and managing director, TEMES said: “We are truly honoured that British Airways will commence two direct flights from Heathrow to Kalamata in April of 2016. At the same time, we are truly delighted that our joint cooperation with the prefecture of Peloponnese will contribute to such an impactful outcome, with significant benefits, both for the region, Costa Navarino and the country itself.”
