Bahrain to host Arab Aviation summit

Bahrain is gearing up to host the 2015 Arab Aviation and Media Summit (AAMS). The event is a joint industry initiative and will take place on 7-8 December 2015 in Manama.
The fifth edition is aimed at improving the state of Arab aviation and tourism. The initiative is braced by Airbus Middle East, Air Arabia Group, CFM, and Sultanate of Oman Ministry of Tourism in addition to Kingdom of Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and Bahrain Airport Company.
The edition will discuss the status of Arab aviation and tourism under current political and economic climate. Industry veterans will also come together to discuss growing significance of the partnerships between tourism and aviation.
Adel A Ali, group chief executive officer, Air Arabia said: “The aviation industry continues to be the key contributor to Arab economy and link between aviation and tourism is becoming increasingly significant. We look to bring together industry experts to explore mutual benefits of fostering partnerships between aviation and tourism industries for sustainable economic growth, with the aim of developing and encouraging tourism within the Arab states.”
The summit concludes with a white paper draft submitted to regulators and decision makers.
