China Airlines started flying its newest long-haul aircraft, the Boeing 777-300ER, on the Taipei-Frankfurt route this month.
This marks the first foray into Europe for the new aircraft, which features CAL’s latest cabin products, including its Family Couches which convert a row of three economy class seats into a flat bed.
CAL’s Boeing 777-300ER can seat a total of 358 passengers in three cabin classes, with 40 flat-bed seats in CAL’s new business class, 62 seats in premium economy and 256 seats in economy class. The aircraft also features a Sky Lounge for business class passengers.
The Taiwanese airline launched its new fleet of B777s in 2014 and now operates eight of the aircraft on routes to Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.
