China Southern Airlines has launched its inaugural flight from Guangzhou to Frankfurt, via Changsha.
Services took off for the first time on 23 June 2014 and will now operate three times a week.
Flights depart the Guangzhou’s Baiyun International Airport at 2130 on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, arriving at Frankfurt International Airport at 0600.
The return flight then takes off from the German financial capital at 1415 on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, getting back into Guangzhou at 0915. Both legs of the journey will operate via Changsha, the capital of southern China’s Hunan province.
China Southern has deployed a 217-seat Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the route, offering four seats in first class, 24 in business class and 189 in economy.
To coincide with the launch, China Southern has also penned a new agreement with German rail operator Deutsche Bahn, allowing passengers to combine air tickets and rail transport across Germany.
