China Southern Airlines will begin flying to New York this summer.
From 6 August 2014, the Guangzhou-based carrier will commence four weekly flights to New York’s JFK Airport.
The airline is calling the new service an extension of its ‘Canton Route’, which aims to connect Australia with Europe and the US, via Guangzhou.
“China Southern has been very keen to expand its network in America and we’re delighted to add one of the world’s greatest cities – New York – to our celebrated Canton Route,” said China Southern’s regional general manager for Australia & New Zealand, Henry He.
The new route will be operated using China Southern’s new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, offering 309 seats in four cabin classes – first, business, premium economy and economy.
