China Southern will launch direct flights between Guangzhou and Adelaide by the end of the year.

Due to commence on 12 December 2016, the new service will run three times a week, using a 216-seat, three-class Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

Flights will depart Guangzhou’s Baiyun International Airport every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 2200 and arrive in Adelaide at 0930 the next day. The return flight will leave the Australian city every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 1100 and get back into Guangzhou at 1740.

The route will become the first direct connection between mainland China and Adelaide. The South Australian state capital will become China Southern’s seven destination in Oceania, following Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Auckland and Christchurch.
