Recent statistics from Barclays state that passenger traffic through Dubai’s airport rose 9.9% year-on-year in the first nine months of the year to 52.4%, up from 49.4 m last year.

Dubai Airports also expects it to grow to 78.4m in 2015 and 103.5 m in 2020, compared with 57.7m in 2012.

Riding on this growth and in an effort to push its recruitment strategy, Dubai Airports (DA) has recently partnered with Cazar through a new recruitment platform to provide candidates with more options. The new website is a mobile-responsive portal.

Further statistics from an Oxford Economics report highlight that the aviation sector supports 224,000 jobs in UAE, including 141,000 jobs directly supported by the aviation sector, and will provide more than 400,000 new jobs in various disciplines directly and indirectly in the next 20 years. Furthermore Dubai Airports also announced a US$32 billion expansion for the airport that will serve as a gateway for an expected 200 million passengers annually by end of the next decade.

With the expansion plans underway, by 2020 aviation supported employment numbers will grow to more than 750,000 jobs and the sector will contribute US$53.1 bn or 37.5% of the emirate’s GDP.
