Heathrow Express' trains include a new logo and look

Heathrow Express is to unveil its refurbished trains today as part of a £16bn investment.

The trains have been designed to customer feedback suggestions and offer an ‘oasis of calm’, with upgrades needed to ensure the trains stay a premium product. The first upgraded carriages will be rolled out from today, with its completion expected to be finished by April 2013.

“Our new fleet will ensure that our customers receive the most relaxing and convenient travel experience possible. I am very proud to unveil our new trains – the result of 3 years hard work,” said Keith Greenfield, managing director of Heathrow Express.

In the upgrade, both carriages will be updated, with its first class including single seating throughout and its ‘Express’ cabins including bay and airline seating and smaller tables installed so customers have more room. Power sockets have also been included in each seat.
