The rapid expansion of the Indonesia’s Hotel NEO brand continued last week, when it took over the running of a hotel in Sentul City, close to Jakarta.

Archipelago International, which operates the lower-midscale NEO brand, has now rebadged the Green Savana Hotel as the Hotel NEO+ Green Savana Sentul City. It becomes the fifth Hotel NEO in the Greater Jakarta area, and the seventh in Indonesia, less than a year after the brand was launched.

Located close to the satellite city of Bogor, the 70-room NEO+ Green Savana is positioned as a three-star hotel with in-room amenities including free Wi-Fi and LCD TVs, and such facilities as an outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. It will also cater to the MICE market, with a conference centre, three meeting rooms and a large outdoor park designed for team-building activities.

The opening follows the recent announcement that five more Hotel NEOs are being lined up in Bali, while the brand is also planning to expand into other key Indonesian cities including Medan, Yogyakarta, Solo, Bandung and Makassar.

For Archipelago, the Hotel NEO+ Green Savana will soon be joined by two other properties in Sentul City, including the 220-room Aston Resort & Conference Center, which is expected to open in 2014, and a 240-room Alana Hotel in 2015.
