Archipelago International, the Indonesian hotel giant, has opened a new corporate office in Yogyakarta.

The new facility becomes the company’s third office, following existing locations in Jakarta and Bali, and is aimed at driving the company’s growth in the central region Indonesia. The hotel group also has support teams in Surabaya and Malaysia.

“We remain dedicated to providing our hotel teams with the best support we possibly can. Every year we work to make positive improvements for our teams, so opening a new corporate office is one of these important steps,” said Tenaiya Brookfield, Archipelago’s vice president of sales & marketing.

“Being closer together will allow our teams more opportunities to meet in person, engage in group activities, training and ultimately help us to stay on top of the trends in the region.”

The Yogyakarta office will provide support to more than 40 hotels around the region, covering Central Java, East Java and Kalimantan. The office will house sales, marketing, e-commerce, reservations, operations and development departments.

Currently, Archipelago operates seven hotels in Yogyakarta under its favehotel, Hotel NEO, Harper, Alana and Aston brands.
