Klook, the Asian attraction, tour and activity booking platform, has signed a new agreement aimed at attracting more international visitors to South Korea.
The memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Lotte World Adventure and Incheon Tourism Organization will target frequent individual travellers (FITs) across Asia with new marketing and promotional activities.
The collaboration with Lotte World, Korea’s most popular theme park, will see Klook offer exclusive deals on passes and tickets to the attraction. Visitors who book discounted Lotte World passes can also use Klook’s app to enter the park.
The MoU with Incheon Tourism Organization will see Klook promote the upcoming BigCityBeats World Club Dome – a major new electronic music concert scheduled to be held in Incheon from 22-24 September 2017. The two organisations said they are also working together to “develop exciting travel products to make the city even more appealing”.
“Korea is an important destination for Klook because of its vibrant and uniquely attractive culture. We have seen a continuous growth of bookings for Korean activities from various Asian cities since 2016,” said Eric Gnock Fah, co-founder & chief operating officer of Klook Travel.
“We are excited to team up with Lotte World Adventure and Incheon Tourism Organization to avail and introduce more of Korea’s popular attractions and unique experiences to our users with competitive prices,” he added.
According to the Korea Tourism Organization, visitor numbers from major Asian countries continued to grow strongly during the first half of 2017, led by arrivals from Vietnam (+29%), Taiwan (+14%) and Singapore (+9%). Klook now has offices in 12 different countries and regions across Asia.
