This winter Lufthansa will resume operations of its UK – Frankfurt – Cape Town route in its flight schedule.
From 2 December, UK flights to Frankfurt will offer connections to Cape Town every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The connection extends the Lufthansa Group’s hub-wide portfolio and optimally complements the formerly seasonal offer from Munich and Zurich with Edelweiss.
After Johannesburg, Cape Town is one of the most important markets for Lufthansa in the southern part of Africa.
Cape Town will be served by an Airbus A340-300 from Frankfurt, with 279 seats in a three-class configuration.
UK passengers connect to LH576 which leaves Lufthansa’s Frankfurt hub at 22:10 and reaches Cape Town the following morning at 11:00. The return journey starts in Cape Town in the early evening at 18:30 and ends the following morning after about 12 hours at 05:30 at Frankfurt Airport.
The departure and arrival times enable ideal connections to the entire Lufthansa route network.
A return flight to Cape Town from the UK can be booked from £689.
