Mantra Group has started operating Australia’s largest apartment hotel, located in Surfers Paradise.
The company has taken over the running of the Towers of Chevron Renaissance, which consists of 711 apartments across three towers, which rise up to 50 stories.
The property has now been rebranded as Mantra Towers of Chevron Surfers Paradise and expands Mantra Group’s Gold Coast portfolio to 21 properties, under its Peppers, Mantra and BreakFree brands. This makes Mantra the largest hotel operator in the region.
“This is an important acquisition that firmly places Mantra as the hotel brand of choice on the Gold Coast. We have great faith in this region as a popular tourism destination for Australians and international visitors. The upcoming Commonwealth Games in 2018 is set position the region for future growth,” said Mantra Group’s CEO, Bob East.
“We have continually demonstrated our expertise in this space – most recently with the acquisition of Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise, creating a successful five star integrated resort experience with a two hat restaurant, I am confident our team will have similar success with Mantra Towers of Chevron and our guests will love the addition.”
The Mantra Towers features a range of one-, two- and three-bedroom and penthouse apartments, plus indoor and outdoor lap pools and a 600m² lagoon swimming pool known as ‘Beaches in the Sky’, which connects the three towers.
The towers are also located adjacent to the Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre which offers retail, dining and entertainment facilities.
