In an bid to tap into Qatar’s growing tourism potential, Accor and Msheireb Hospitality have inked a strategic partnership to develop and manage an MGallery hotel in Doha. The MGallery will be a ‘boutique hotel’ that will offer blend of modern and Qatari heritage and hospitality, within the Msheireb Downtown Doha.
Further to the recent appointment of Accor by Msheireb Hospitality to operate and manage this hotel under MGallery Brand, Jean-Jacques Dessors, Accor’s chief operating officer for Africa, Middle East, Indian Ocean and Caribbean Islands and Christophe Landais, Accor Middle East managing director, accompanied by senior development executives met with Abdul Aziz Al Emadi, CEO of Msheireb Hospitality in Doha, Qatar.
Msheireb Downtown Doha will redevelop 31 hectares site in Doha. The project aims to transform the old commercial and business district into a vibrant city centre. Elaborating Abdul Aziz Al Emadi, CEO of Msheireb Hospitality said: “Developing the hotel fits very well with our strategy to introduce innovative and integrated hospitality products in Doha. Simultaneously, contributing to the broader vision of the country and supporting the tourism industry to promote Qatar.”
This hotel will feature 215 rooms, and in addition to meeting facilities, an exclusive spa and a outdoor pool. The property will offer unique cafes and restaurants concepts as well as terraces overlooking views of the Mshereib district and the Souq Waqif.
The hotel is on the design phase with an anticipated opening scheduled in 2015.
