Archipelago International has opened a new hotel and conference centre in Jambi, on the Indonesian island of Sumatra.
The Aston Jambi Hotel & Conference Center soft-opened in early December, offering 153 rooms and a range of F&B options, including a restaurant, bar and music lounge, a terrace café and a sky lounge. There is also a swimming pool and fitness centre, while the adjoining conference centre offers a 600-pax capacity ballroom and six meeting rooms.
“Jambi is a significant and ever-emerging hub for Sumatra’s trade so we are delighted to bring the Aston brand to this developing capital city,” said Archipelago’s vice president of sales & marketing, Norbert Vas.
“Together with the owning company and the design team, Aston Jambi Hotel & Conference Center raises the bar for stylish and chic accommodations in the area and we are very confident that this modern hotel will suit the prosperous future of Jambi and its commerce.”
Jakarta-based Archipelago is expanding its concept of upscale Aston conference hotels to emerging second and third tier cities across Indonesia, including Palembang, Bogor, Cirebon, Jember, Madiun, Semarang, Kupang, Luwuk and Makassar.
