The new property was opened in traditional Japanese style, with a ceremony attended by Sumo legend Ozeki Konishiki and an opening toast including the breaking of the sake barrel.

“Oakwood is a brand that has earned the trust of owners and customers alike. We look forward to continuing the success we have achieved in Tokyo and to introducing more travellers to the benefits of our unique accommodation offering,” said Dean Schreiber, managing director of Oakwood Asia Pacific.

The launch marks the company’s second new property in Tokyo this year, following the opening of the Oakwood Premier Tokyo in January. Oakwood has now been operating serviced apartments in Japan for 16 years.
