Qantas ramps up UK sales presence

Qantas is expanding its UK sales team with the addition of six new staff members who, as of this month, will take on the following roles: account manager Specialist Markets, leisure account executive, corporate account executive and a group sales support co-ordinator.
Megan Brinsley has been appointed account manager for Specialist Markets to develop Qantas’ MICE proposition and manage the Qantas Groups business. She brings a wealth of experience to the role from her previous position as a senior sales & marketing co-ordinator within the meetings, incentive travel, conference and exhibition industry.
Corporate account executives Angela Jacques and Pauric Gallagher will oversee Qantas’ Corporate and TMC business, including working with SMEs.
Leisure account executives Lauren Vella and Samantha Gemmell will be managing Qantas’ portfolio of leisure trade partners and will be responsible for new business development. Lauren previously worked for Qantas subsidiary Jetstar in Melbourne as a customer service advisor and Samantha has previous sales experience, having worked for Flight Centre and On The Move Tours.
The new group sales support co-ordinator, Heidi Greenacre will support group sales for both trade and direct customers and ensure utilisation of the Qantas Groups website. She previously worked for Saga Holidays, one of Qantas’ key tour operator partners.
