September traffic boosts IAG

International Airlines Group (IAG) has announced an increase in passenger numbers during September and year-to-date figures particularly in the premium market.
The group, which owns British Airways, Iberia and Vueling, saw passenger figures in September along grow 11% year-on-year to 7.48 million. Year-to-date numbers are up 8.6% to 58.9m.
Premium traffic levels in September have increased 7.6% year-on-year.
With Vueling included in the baseline, the group’s load factor was stable in September at 84%, dipping on a few decimal places year-to-date remaining at 81%.
