Archipelago International is continuing the rapid expansion of its Favehotel brand with plans to launch six more properties in four different Indonesian cities – Jakarta, Cilacap, Padang and Pekanbaru.
The Indonesian capital Jakarta will see the opening of three new Favehotels, starting with the 84-room Favehotel Zainul Arifin in September this year. The 110-room Favehotel Pasar Minggu will then open in Jakarta in the second quarter of 2015, followed by the 100-room Favehotel Grogol Jakarta in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Also launching in Q4 2016 will be the 120-room Favehotel Cilacap, in Central Java, and on the island of Sumatra Archipelago plans to launch the Favehotel Olo in Padang and Favehotel Sudirman in Pekanbaru, both in the fourth quarter of 2015.
“We are currently undertaking an unprecedented period of expansion throughout Indonesia, which will see Archipelago International more than double its collection of hotels in the country over the next few years,” said Norbert Vas, Archipelago’s vice president of sales & marketing.
“By the end of this year alone, Archipelago International will be launching 33 new hotel projects, while 2015 is already set to open a further 37 hotels to welcome guests throughout the year.”
Archipelago describes Favehotel as a “select service” brand, with amenities including flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi in all rooms, and properties often featuring meeting rooms and cafes.
There are currently 27 Favehotels located across Indonesia and Malaysia, 10 of which are in Jakarta and four in Bali. Archipelago also plans to launch the brand in the Philippines in the coming years.
