Passengers travelling on the new airport rail link to Taoyuan International Airport will be able to check-in at the railway station in downtown Taipei, it has been confirmed.

The line’s operator, Taoyuan Metro Corp, has teamed up with four Taiwanese airlines – China Airlines, EVA Air, Mandarin Airlines and UNI Air – to offer the service.

This will enable passengers travelling on these airlines to check-in and leave their baggage at the downtown railway station, before taking the 35-minute airport rail journey to Taoyuan Airport.

Scheduled to start trial operations in time for Lunar New Year, the airport rail link will run for 51km between Taipei and Taoyuan, stopping at 20 stations.
