Thai Airways (THAI) recently celebrated the departure of the first Airbus A380 direct flight from London to Bangkok at Heathrow’s Terminal 2.

Those who left on the Airbus A380 inaugural flight TG911 from London to Bangkok were given fresh orchid corsages and commemorative key rings to mark the special occasion at check-in. A special performance of traditional Thai dance and music was also staged.
Wit Kitchathorn, general manager of Thai Airways International – UK, said: “This has been a great way to mark the UK’s first direct A380 flights to Bangkok, auguring a new era of travel in the UK. As always we are immensely proud of our service and doubly so now that we are the only airline offering A380, state-of-the-art, direct travel between London and Bangkok.”
