The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently organised a caravan road trip for the travel media and bloggers.
The ‘Road Trip with Amazing Thailand’ tour saw a series of classic vehicles, including VW campervans, travel to Kanchanaburi province to visit historical sites from World War II, including the Death Railway and Hell Fire Pass Memorial Museum.
“We wanted to show the world that Thailand is safe and more than ready to welcome visitors from all over the world,” explained Sugree Sithivanich, the TAT’s deputy governor for marketing communications.
“Also, we would like to exemplify that a different way of travelling can convert the once-travelled route into the amazingly impressive one. And a roadtrip around some of the kingdom’s attractions seemed a wonderful way to do this.”
The road trip also included opportunities for adventure activities, including rafting, trekking and all-terrain vehicle riding.
