The latest industry appointments

SAMUEL P. LIN has been named as the new president of China Airlines. Lin has spent the last 30 years in Taiwan’s aviation and transport industries, including spells with the Evergreen Group and Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation. Most recently he was president & CEO of Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport

CHRISTOPHER OAKES has become the new general manager of the Indigo Pearl resort in Phuket. He joins the property with experience in the UK, Ireland, Thailand and the Maldives, most recently serving as managing director of Petchey Leisure – a travel group with resorts in Spain & Portugal.

TILY WONG has been named as the new house manager of the Eaton House Serviced Apartment in Hong Kong. Ms Wong has more than 20 years’ experience, including spells with Regal and Accor. Most recently she was front office manager at Novotel Hong Kong Nathan Road.

LILLIAN TAN has been appointed as the new cluster director of sales & marketing for Starwood’s resorts in Bali. A Malaysia-born hotelier with more than 18 years of experience, Ms Tan started her career with Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur before moving to Starwood with the Westin Kuala Lumpur.

MANIK SUDARSANA has been appointed director of food & beverage at the Ayana Resort & Spa Bali. The move marks a homecoming for Bali-born Manik, who was F&B manager when the resort was branded as the Ritz-Carlton. In between times, he worked at the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta.

NEO PING PENG has been named as the new director of sales at the Swissôtel Merchant Court, Singapore. Ms Neo started her career with Albert Court Hotel Singapore in 2001 and has since worked at the Royal Plaza on Scotts, Traders Singapore and, most recently, the Movenpick Sentosa.

MARLIEKE JANSSEN has been appointed cluster digital marketing manager for Starwood’s resorts in Bali. A Dutch national, Ms Janssen has experience in reservations, revenue and sales & marketing. In 2012 she joined The Media Hotel & Towers in Jakarta as online marketing manager.
