Virgin Atlantic joins Air France-KLM’s Bluebiz rewards programme

Virgin Atlantic is now part of Bluebiz, a rewards programme for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SME) which also includes KLM, Air France, Delta and Kenya Airways.

The scheme allows SME corporate customers to earn and spend ‘blue credits’ on flights with all partner airlines.

The credits are worth GBP 1 (USD 1.27) and can be spent on the full cost of future flights, including taxes and surcharges, with no limitations on booking classes.

Virgin said it is closing its existing SME programme Flying Co on 1 July, though any flights booked before that date will still earn Flying Co miles. Members can continue to spend their Flying Co miles until 31 December 2020.

“We have seen significant growth in the SME sector.”

Oliver Byers, Virgin Atlantic’s senior vice president for sales and customer loyalty, commented: “By joining Bluebiz, our customers will now be able to earn and burn across Virgin Atlantic as well as our partners KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Air France, Delta Air Lines and Kenya Airways. We’ve seen significant growth in the SME sector and can’t wait for our customers to be able to take advantage of this exciting loyalty programme.”
