A new traditional accommodation option will launch in Siem Reap, the gateway to the Angkor temple complex, in December 2015.
Managed by Cambodia’s Asia Initiative Corporation Plus (AICPlus), Java Wooden Villa will be a two-storey, 10-room property built in a traditional Khmer style using recycled wood and furnished with local handicrafts.
Inside however, the company said the rooms would offer “Manhattan-style” design and luxury fittings. Facilities at the property will include a large saltwater pool, spa, bar and a rooftop dining area.
Java Wooden Villa will be located in the Krous village area, five minutes’ drive from central Siem Reap and 15 minutes from the entrance to the Angkor Archaeological Park. Accommodation will include six rooms and four family suites.
AIC now operates a portfolio of 10 properties in Cambodia, including the recently-signed Sanctuary Villa Battambang hotel.
