British Airways has signed a codeshare agreement with Bangkok Airways, expanding its reach in Thailand.
The deal means the airline will be able to offer flights to Phuket, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai via Bangkok from 11 June as well as Bangkok Airways’ flights between Singapore to Koh Samui.
British Airways already flies daily to Bangkok and twice daily to Singapore, with the former to be moved from Terminal 3 to Terminal 5 in October.
“This new partnership will offer smooth transit for passengers travelling from long-haul routes with British Airways to Bangkok and Singapore for their onward journey to Thailand’s key destinations,” said Peter Wiesner, SVP network management at Bangkok Airways.
“I am confident that this will also strengthen Bangkok Airways’ extensive codeshare scheme as well as boosting tourism in Thailand and Asia,” he added.
