Air China will deploy a new Boeing 777-3000ER aircraft on its daily flight between Beijing and San Francisco next year.

From 11 February 2014, the new 311-seat, three-class aircraft will be used on the daily trans-Pacific service, replacing the B747-400 aircraft that currently operates the route.

The move marks the latest stage in Air China’s long-term plan to replace all remaining B747s with the more fuel-efficient B777s and B747-8 Intercontinentals.

The B777-300ERs have already been put into service on the airline’s services from Beijing to New York, Los Angeles and Houston, as well as Sydney.

The new aircraft features flat-bed seats in first and business classes, while the economy class seats all come fitted with personal in-flight entertainment units and power outlets.
