Luxury river cruising specialist Avalon Waterways reported a 200% year-on-year increase in sales in February.
The bumper sales result means the company has already reached its 2015 sales target.
Commenting on the achievement, Avalon Waterways’ UK general manager, David Binns, said he was “delighted” to have achieved the result so early in the year. “Our TV advertising campaign during peak booking periods has had a marked effect on sales; so much so, we are extending the campaign into April as well as launching our very first radio campaign.”
This month will see Avalon Waterways debut its Panorama Suite Ships in France.
Avalon Tapestry II will be launched into service on 28 March sailing the ‘Paris to Normandy’s Landing Beaches’ cruise, while the year-old Avalon Poetry II will set sail on 27 March for the ‘Burgundy & Provence’ cruise from Arles to Chalon-sur-Saone on the Rhone.
