BA, JAL to share revenue on routes

British Airways and Japan Airlines have announced they will share revenue on flights between the Europe and Japan as part of its new business agreement.
Its joint business starts Monday with the deal expanding past its current codeshare on Tokyo-London flights to all flights between the UK and Japan that the carriers operate.
These include its services from Paris and Frankfurt, with both carriers also improving their connections to onward destinations. For BA this will mean a codeshare on JAL flights to Kansai, Okayama, Hiroshima, Izumo, Nagasaki, Kagoshima and Okinawa, while JAL will codeshare to Belfast, Helsniki, Frankfurt and Gothenburg.
Its websites will include information across the entire journey as if it were one airline.
“Together with the inauguration of JAL’s brand new seats and services between Narita and London from January next year, we hope to offer our customers an even greater travel experience than before,” said Yoshiharu Ueki, president of JAL.
